The short version

PetVitalScan is built to work without collecting your data. Our tools run entirely in your browser, we don't require accounts, and your pet's information never leaves your device.

Data stored on your device

The health scanner, vaccine tracker, and name generator save their data using your browser's local storage (localStorage). This includes pet profiles, vaccine records, scan results, favorite names, and your dark/light theme preference. This data:

• stays on your device and is never transmitted to us or to third parties;
• can be erased at any time by clearing your browser's site data for petvitalscan.com;
• is not backed up by us — keep official records (like vaccine certificates) with your vet.

Photos

The health scanner works entirely from the details you type — it does not ask for, upload, or analyze photos of your pet.

Data we do not collect

We do not require registration, collect names or emails, sell data, or use advertising trackers. If we introduce optional analytics in the future, this policy will be updated first and any analytics will be privacy-respecting and aggregate-only.

Third-party links

Directory pages link to external services such as Google Maps for directions, and listings may link to businesses' own websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies that apply once you leave petvitalscan.com.

Children's privacy

PetVitalScan is a general-audience site and does not knowingly collect any personal information, from children or anyone else.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we'll update this page and the date above. Material changes will be noted prominently on the site.
