How the scan works
PetVitalScan compares your pet's species, breed, and age against reference weight tables derived from published veterinary ranges. For growing pets, it adjusts the ideal range using a species growth curve; for dogs and cats, it also estimates daily calories from the standard resting-energy formula (70 × kg0.75) scaled by activity level. Everything is computed from the details you enter, right in your browser — no photo and no upload involved.
